We are always looking for new members who like to have fun with their dogs and to participate in a club with fellow dog lovers. Many members are involved in obedience, agility, conformation, field training, flyball and other dog related activities and programs.
Individuals who have no background with training dogs should take an obedience class before applying for membership. The class does not have to be a FFDTC class. Membership is open to persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and who subscribe to the interests of the club.
To become a member, you must first attend a general membership meeting and apply for a Provisional Membership. The Provisional Membership is a minimum of 12 months from the month of application. During the Provisional Membership time, the applicant(s) must participate in at least one club activity such as, but not limited to, trial volunteer, match volunteer, class assistant, public event volunteer, etc. After a minimum of 12 months, the Provisional Member may then be voted on for full membership to the club.
A Provisional Member is a non-voting member. This member will be added to the club's YahooGroup and will receive the monthly newsletter. After having paid the public price for a club class, the Provisional Member will be eligible to pay the club members' reduced price for classes.
Club members of all ages and from all walks of life share a common interest: their love of dogs as friends and companions and a concern for the welfare of their canine friends. The club devotes its activities to this interest. Individuals with similar interests are invited to apply for membership.
Monthly meetings are held every 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM at 106 E. Wright Street, Pensacola.
